Well what do you say to having an amazing time of your life, to be given this once in a life time opportuinty.... We honeslty have been so lucky on this trip, to the things we have seen to the great people we have met along the way.... I only wish to those of you who have not had the experience like this please just take the chance and do it.... DO NOT have REGRETS!!!!!
I just want to thank my MOMMA so much for the support and for Shannon and that Tuesday where you randomly txtd me saying " wanna just say fuck it and go to Greece" lol... If we never went and saw that stupid movie would we have done this???? Oh well we did and it has been nothing but amazing, am glad we did this trip and on such a whim too of all things planned it in 4weeks yes were crazy but whateves we did it and proved to all of you we could and we will continue to do it more....

our final days!!!! :( :)
Banana:
SO we spent our last four days in Europe in Amsterdam, its beautiful there and all the people, were pretty chill n nice..... We basically just hung out allot in the main square and well we got high!!!! I mean we were in Amsterdam and of course that's all everyone goes there to do!!! We also did the red light district and of course it was not what we expected... We actually did not like it all we found it so sad to watch all these young women selling themselves, and a few of them were probably no older than 16 if that.... But the in the year 2015 all of the red light district will no longer exists, the Netherlands government wants it gone now.... oh and marijuana is actually not legal in amsterdam, the government is so tired of wasting time and money on ppl smoking it that they jsut turned a blind eye to it all now... they have closed down over 200 cafes now, but over 200 are still up and running. Our final night in Amsterdam we just vegged watched a movie and kinda of just took it allin because we were flying back to the Uk the next day.... So we go tup the next morning packed our bags for one of the last times and walked around town for a few hours and checked out a few markets and took in all we have done over the last three months...
We flew into Gatwick arriving at 9pm and yet another time change in London lol..... we found our hsotel after a train ride to it and a metro line to it lol... didnt get ther until 1130pm.... then the next day we went to check out portabello road( the one with mary poppins movie) but ya it was closed so we headed up the famos soho or oxford street to do a little last min shooping and souvieners... then next day we went to a famous alternative market called Cameden market and honestly it was probably one of our favs, it had amazing art work and vintage shops and awesome little things.... Very diffrent crowd and great little food vendors :) For dinner we headed to a little local pub to have one of our final dinners out and just sat and talked then finished up with us stopping ot grabb another bottle of vino lol and just veg....
Today we went to Hyde park and walked around for a bit and went to Kensigton palace, where princess Diana lived and just took it all in again, now we are heading to our hotel for our last night in the UK and then heading home 2mrw afternoon....

soooo we leave tomorrow morning!! :( i cant believe how fast this trip went!!! it seems like just yesterday we were leaving and now we.re heading home already! but i wouldnt change this experience for anything..it has been so amazing and we are so so fortunate. we met some really amazing people and made friendships that are going to last forever. we saw the most beautiful sights and had great expierences in all the 13 different countries we visited!! theres places i will deffinetly go back too and spend more time there and theres soo many more places i plan on visiting in the future as well. I learned so much about myself and the world on this trip and im so happy i did it...the best joke i ever made right han! ;) well i guess this is it! i hope everyone enjoyed reading it and we.ll add some more pictures as well!

tourists in the rain
bambam:prague,berlin and amsterdam
So i dont have any notes for this blog so im just gonna try and remember what we,ve done in the last week or so right now! ya right....
sooo in prague we mostly spent our days shopping! lol it rained and was freezzing cold almost everyday so we mostly tried to stay inside the heater stores lol. we did bear the freezing cold weather one day for a free walking tour! it was 3 hours long and by the end of it..no one really cared what he was tlaking about anymore we were frozen!! we made a bee line to the mall to warm up!! hahah we also choose to go to a warm english theatre one night!! we went to see inglourious bastards and when we got there we found out it was only 70-30 english and french n german...yaaa turned out more 50 50 lol but it was still a good movie! another night we went to a hockey game!! it was so cool...they were pretty minor league but had a whole group of fans at the end of the rink cheering for the WHOLE game...SPARTA SPARTA...and after 3 periods..kidnaa annoying lol they also had ACTUAL cheerleaders! in an ice areana..wearing minimal clothes..strange haha
On our last 2 nights in prague the irish girls flew over to see us!! so the 6 of us all had a shared dorm in prague! when they got there i showed them around town and we had some hot wine...which i am addicted to now! soo good..im getting the recipe! then that nght the 6 of us...2 canadians 2 aussie and 2 irish all went on a pub crawl!! it was pretty cool...free beer and free shots! a couple of the bars were pretty cool and the last 2 were just ok...all in all a good night! th next day we went to our favourite resterant the bohemian bagel and had breakfast which was delicous! then spent the day wondering town...had a nap and then went out for dinner..we went to this cute little resteraunt and were having a great time until they brought out our food haha shitty portions and they didnt take off sarahs anchovies and then tried to serve her the same pizza and then argues with us all about it lol to funny we went out on the town again and this time we went to a bigger club and had a blast...
the next day the irish girls left and we headed to berliN! a pretty hungover train ride and a relaxing night in berlin that day!!
our first day in berlin we wondered around the main square for a bit and then we went on another free walking tour!! this one wasnt as cooold but still cold! we saw alot of really cool things on it as well! we saw the berlin wall and hitlers bunker.and alot more berlin is a really interesting city. the next day we went to the sachsenhausen concentration camp. its something so hard to describe...the feeling there...it was really a humbling experience seeing the things that the human race are possible and of and the amount of pain that people endured and the conditions they were forced to live in an how far we.ve come now. it was a really really amazing experience.
that ngiht was another chill night after being in the freezing cold all day!
the next day we went to the east side gallery..its basically the longest remaining part of the berlin wall and each section a different artist has painted on it..there were some really amazing paintings there...really different and interesting. after that we wondered around some shops and then went to the anne frank musuem. again a really cool experience..all the old photos they had of the war and the diary entries by anne frank used as quotes everywhere...it was really sad actually...really makes u think about ur life and how much we have and how much we all take for granted!
that night we got some chinese and then went out to a club in east germany really cool club...sweet music and we danced until about 4am when the sbahn was free again and then went home! lol
we had to be up at 8am the next day for our train to amsterdam...ya ew. nottt fun. about a 6 hr train so when we got here it was dinner and sleep! we had english tv so we watched a movie and chilllled. felt great!
the next day we went into town and wondered the streets and the markets. IN THE RAIN we also went to a "coffee" shop but had no id so we couldnt sit inside...soo we went home...and were going to go back out but got a litttlee tired! ;) so we went to a cute little pub by our hotel and had an amazingg dinner...actual home cooked food which was delicious the pub was sooo loud tho dutch people singing and yelling over the loud music lol good times....we stayed in again and watched some mtv and slept early!
today is off to wonder town again...going to do the free walking tour and then go hang out at a coffee shop with some girls from our hostel and then check out the red light district tongiht!
this trip has been sooo amazing and we both realize how extremely lucky we are! sorry about the blog being all over the place this time...its hard to get the time to sit down and write it!!

The places we added along the way!!!!!
Banana: Austria (Innsbruck, Vienna) Czech Repbulic(Prague)
Sooo last Shan had left off was us just arriving in Austria Innsbruck, this was not in the plan from the start of our trip but when you have a EuroRail pass the opportuinity is much easier to hope on a train last min and see where it takes you. Our first night arriving we got there late because of wrong information so we missed our original train yet again another one missed not to pleased!! But we made it there in one piece at 11pm... Oh an dthe owner of the hostel was not so pleased with us at all... We were put in a 8 bedroom doorm room with all boys, which we didnt understand because it was empty, but whatever they were pretty nice guys... It happens that two of the guys in our room wwere from BC and from Maple Ridge of all palces and I lknow there sisters.... Its such a small world!!!! Our first full day there we just went into the little town which we walked along the river to get too, it was very beautiful and very nice warm weather still. We had lunch at a little cafe and just walked around town in the shops and just explored... Later we decided to have a picnic in the park by the river with two bottles of VINO suprising NOT lol.... WE went there around 6pm and didnt head back until after dark it was so nice and relaxing from the previous 10days of no stop. Vienna we got there later in the day and it was pouring rain out and cold soo we decided to do our laundry saty in catch up on some stuff and make a home cooked meal!!! meaning SOUP lol!!!! The next day we went to see this famous castle in Vienna but yet again it was pouring out and we were freezinf\g but we sucked it up and went!!! It was worth irt even with the rain because of all the views from the main look out point were amazing!! We caught the tram after the castle headed into town to the shops to just loook around and get warm lol..,.. went back early made a nice dinner and went to bed early!! The next morning we had an early train to catch atr 10am to meet the Aussie girls in Czech Repblic (prague).... so we caught a 4 hour train ride to the girls to start our little reuinion all over, oh and our girlfriends from Ireland had messaged us to tell us they were coming to Prague top meet us for the following weekend to party!!!! woot woot!!!! We arrived in Prague realzing we needed to learn a new currency yet again soo not fun when you are soo use to the Euros!!!! makes it difficult and a BITCH!!!! Anywyas we caught the metro towards our hostel and yes yet again we got lost!!!!! I dnt think there is one place yet where we have not got lost in yet!!!! lol We arrived at our hostle and it was a saturday n they were advertising a pub crawl of 4 bars and you drink for free as much as you can before you leave there bar within an hour! soooo we started with 2 bottles of vino and then worked our way to voldka , free shots and a good game of KINGS CUP with some british ppl we had met!!! needless to say we made it to one pub and were at our hostle by 12am, yes we are very SAD!!!! lol oh and then we had some random guy come knocking on our door saying he was security but really he just wanted us to come party, and then he brought this hole Polish soccer team into our room so we had about 10 non speaking English boys in our room just staring at us!! So bella and I convienced them we would change and come down to get rid of them, but we never went down!!!!! Oh and then we ahd them come knocking on our door at 730am and would not leave us alone for about 45mins!!!! SOoo when we rolled out of bed it wasw about 11am with pretty bad hangovers, we got ourselves togethter and headed to town to see the old square of Prague and to shop for some warm clothes as we had dropped temperatures drastically within days!!! We basically have shopped everyday since we have been in Prague because its so cheap!!!! :) On our final night at our hostle we all suddenly woke up at 1am, not just one of us but all of us and we satyed up till 3am talking about the war and Mirrior Kats why i have no idea but it was pretty funny to us lol!!!!The next day we had to switch hostel and we were moving closer to the main square in Prague within walking distance!!!! We made the Aussie girls there first real thanksgiving dinner and it was one of the best meals we have made so far! Its been raing here alot on and off aand all we have been doing is walking around trying to keep warm! On our secoind night at this hostel we wanted to see an english movie sooo we went to the Inglourios Basterders and we were told it was 70 percent english the rest in French /German, try more like 50/50 sooo not impressed!!!We went on a free walking tour of the History of Prague and teh war and our tour guide was crazy!!!! Lets just say hes a little to honest!!!! We were Freezing our butts off and it was about 2 degrees out! We were on the tour for about 3 and a half hours, when it was over we basically ran to the mall in the main square to warm up and buy leg warmers!!!! we were suppose to go out fo rdinner but we said screw it because we were to cold! We came home made soup and sandwhiches and it was great!!!
Today we woke up to light snow and the Aussie girls have never seen snow fall so it was pretty exciting to see them get excited about it, even though its not sticking its still pretty cool, but really cold! Todays weather is 1degrees but they say it feels like -1degrees!!! oH and our heater in our room isnt always working so we are freezing to death.... We walked to see the Castle in Prague in the snow the church on the grounnds was alot nicer looking than the castel it self! but i guess after seeing so many of the samethings everything starts to look the same lol!!!! Now we are heading out again in the freezing weather yes were crazy but hey we are now taking in as much as we can before we have to leave, which by the way we DONT WANT too!!!!! 10 days cramed into a crazyy europe trip

ok everyone im sorryy it has been sooo long but the last10 days have been go go go and have not had anyy time to write the blog!! so im going to break down each city now for you...ive got notes..lots and lots of notes lol

MADRIDok everyone im sorryy it has been sooo long but the last10 days have been go go go and have not had anyy time to write the blog!! so im going to break down each city now for you...ive got notes..lots and lots of notes lol
ok here goes
well we took an awful overnight train from lisbon to madrid which was hell! nooo ac and is smelt like shit.we-re in agreement that overnight trains suck ass!! lol but we made it to madrid and basically we did a quick tour of the city saw the castel and cathedral...another one!! ah and then shopped!! needed some winter clothes as we.re leaving the sun behind in portugal :( in spain we once again had mcd cuz their food is shit and spent the next day pretty much doing the same thing...all in all madrid not so eventful!!
PARIS
sooo we took an all day train to paris with a 4 hour stop over pretty boring!!! ithink ive actually read over 20 books on this trip now and hanas not to far behind!! haha we got to paris at about midnight to our hostel and we were staying in a dorm room with 2 other people...well one was sleeping and one was awake and he was like yelling at us to turn out the light at midnight when all we wanted to do was shower and sleep!!! hana was none to impressed with this asain lol
the next day we woke up early to go ssee the eiffel tower!!! i cant even describe how amazing it was and yesss i know i overexaggerate alot but seriously this was unreal it is hugee and so beautiful!! we stayed there for about 3 hours taking pics, had a crepe with nutella n banana mhhh and it was family fun day at the park there so we checked that out for a bit,..it was such a gorgeous day out but we decided to wait until night time to go up the eiffel tower so we left to go buy souvieners and met thse 2 guys at the stand and they kept giving us deals and then asked us to go out for a glass of champagne with them for his bday! lol so we said we-d come back later and we left to check out some famous street in paris ..cant remmeber the name now tho lol seen so many damn famous streets...its just shopping with a big statue!! lol anyways our feet killed from our new boots so we went back to meet the guys n went for a glass of champagne that he bought hehe so that was cool!! then it was home to get ready for the eiffel tower and going out at night! we decided to wear our new stilleto heals to the eiffel tower and out...why we thought this was a good idea ill never know!! we had to walk in a train station for like 8hrs just to get to another train to get tothe eiffel tower and by the time we GOT there they already hurt!! haha good thing the eiffel tower was absolutely breathtaking that it helped us to forget for a little bit how bad our feet hurt haha we took about a thosand pics of it...i reallly couldnt stop!! then went to the top floor and took more pics!!! it was the most amazingg view...one of the most amazing things we have seen yet even with hurting feet we still enjoyed it soo much! by the time we got down tho we werre both in agreement that we were not going out in these shoes!! so we justsat for a while staring at it and then went home for the night!
the next morning was the louvre!! it was HUGEEEE this building is massive and inside is impossible to navigate!! we went straight for the mona lisa but stopped for pictures of everything along the way lol the mona lisa was pretty cool u cant get very close to it tho and u have to push ur way to the front of the crowd to try and get a picture of it!! but nonetheless it was cool to see such a historical piece of artwork! we also saw a pretty cool tomb of a sphinx and the rest was pictures and statues! after about 3 hrs we were done and hungry!
we went to the eiffel tower,,again!! to have a picnic!! we bought fresh bagettes, salami, and brie cheese and 2 bottles ofwine :) we sat underneath the eiffel tower and ate and drank and talked for about 3hrs!! it was one of the best afternoons we.ve had here and really started to appreciate just how lucky we are to be here!! ihope everyone gets to see the eiffel tower one day it really was soo special.
that evening after the picnic we were a littleee tipsyyy haha sowe had more wine and left over pizza and called it an early night!
BORDEAUX
the next day we left for bordeaux...we didnt get directions to our hotel and got sooo bloody lost and couldnt find a taxi sooo frusterating! but by the time we made it there our hotel was worth it! we had our own kitchen and a bath tub!! lol so after a 2hrs excursion to get damn groceries we both had a bath (seperatly!!) haha and then went to bed for an early day the next day!
we had planned to do a wine tour this day but when we made it to town it was already booked up!! soooo dissapointing seeing how this was one thing i was really looking forward too! but the lady said we could still go to the town and walk around and do wine tasting and see the wine caves and winerys.
sooo that was the only option...hana wasnt feeling up to it so i decided to go alone since i didnt want to miss out on the wine tour. it was a gorgeous little town and i just wondered up the little stone streets and saw rows and rows and rroowss of vines and huge castles. I found the wine caves and went into them...it was crazy!!! ive never seen so much wine in my life!!! bottles and bottles of it lined up everywhere and all full!!!! but i was down there seriously alll alone and i was so freaked out that i didnt stay to long lol after i did a bunch of wine tasting and watched a lil info video on making wine which was reallyy cool! then i just sat in a little park alone and drank some wine and hungout...really not the same drinking wine byurself but it was a really beautiful quiet little town and i really enjoyed myself!
the next day we were leaving for paris to get to munich...welll we didnt plan our time to well and for the first time in europe we missed our train!!! sooo lame luckily a train left in 2hrs so we got on that one and got to paris at 4ish welll we had 1hr at this time to catch another train to cologne where we were meeting ashley to go to munich the next day!! so we hauled ass only to find out it was full!!! thennn we hauled ass to a diff train station to try somewhere else and thatt was full! soo we had to go back to the OTHER train station and try something else!! realllyy very frusterating day! we finally got on a train that got us into cologne at 2am where we were suppose to meet ashleyy butt we couldnt find her sooooooooooo we slept at the train station at mcds!! AHHHH it was so awful...well i didnt sleep hana did just a tiny bit..luckily tho our train leftfor munich at 7am and we found ashley at 655 haha but it all worked out on we were on our way to munich!
MUNICH
got to munich around 12 and had a repeat of bordeaux, got stupid lost trying to find our hotel!! ah but finally we made it and our taxi driver offer to drive us to town for free!! so we had 5mins to drop offour bags check in and change lol 3 girls..noteasyyy plus had to sneak hana in as it was only for 2 ppl! lol but we made it! and we got to town and set off looking for oktoberfest! along the way we looked for dindels!! we decided if we were going to oktoberfest we might as well go all out!!! so we bought dindels!!!!!! and were so excited to wear them!! that day tho we justwent to oktoberfest and looked around...i had no idea it was a fair like the pne!! so may rides! the tents though were INSANE! there was thousandssssss of people inside sitting at tables standing everywhere drinking HUGE beers!! we checked out a few and then i had a beer n a pretzel:)...then left to get a good nights sleep for the next day!!...got lost again going back to the hotel..dont ask ugh.
OKTOBERFEST
this gets its own post...it was crazyy!! we woke up at 445!!!!!!!!! ran aroundgettin our dindels on hehe and then were out the door at 515am ! RAN to the train station to get our train to town which didnt end up coming until 6am it took about 50mins to get to town and then we RAN through the train station and the streets of munich..in our dindels to get to oktoberfest!! then weRAN thro oktoberfest trying to find the tent that ashleys german friends were at and the best one...we needed to be thereby 7!! we got there at 710 and the lineup wasnt tooo bad!! 5minslater...doubled in size!! i cant believe how many people get up that early on a sat to drink beer!!!! the lineup was 8times as big by the time we got to move a bit at 8 and then we were fairly close to inside...i should mention they DO NOT line up the way we do at home...there is nosuch thing as single file..or standing to close to someone..or no smoking...or any order really...just push!!! haha o god...so finally at 845 we got to PUSH into oktoberfest! worth it though since we got an awesome table and within 15mins had our first beer!!! a HUGE beer!! and we had a dougnut!! mhh then it was just drinking and everyone would cheers all at the same time...thousands of people in the tent! then at 1030 am the band started!! EVERYONE stood up on there benches and sang and drank!! we did this for hourrss! had about 4 beers...they are massive...sang a bunch of german songs and pretty much had the best day!! (the lineup to pee tho) OMG abouttt100 girls NO STRAIGHT LINES just shove and try and get in..took about 40mins! INSANE...but it was sooo worth it...some point in the day we also had chicken which was delicous! and then drankmore beer!! haha it is to hard to explain how cool it was but we havetoonss of pics and videos to show u guys!! we left around 530 to go get our bags from our hotel and bring them to ashleys friends placein muncih...took for everrr but we had some wine and some dinner and danced in the train lol we got to there place and decided to go to a club!!hana stayed in so me n ash n her 2 german friends went out! itwas a really cool club and we stayed out dancing until about 3am!! such a fun day!! such a longggggggday ahahha but oktoberfest was deffinetly a highlight for us!!
SWITZERLAND
the next day we slept in ahah and then left for switzerland...we met up with ashleys friend there and went to our hostel..bed early after the night before!!
the next day we did atour of switzerland..basically a 3hr boat ride on lake lucern and then 6hrs on trains...it wasbeautiful but we are sooo sick of trains that by the time it was over we were over mnts and lakes lol it was another early night
the next day we split up and hana and i decided to go up mnt rigi. we took a boat there and then we took a cog train ..the first ever mnt railway in europe! going up the views were sooo beautiful and the top was breathtaking...about 30mins up to panoramic views of the alps,13 lakes, and central switzerland..sooo beautiful! we walked from the top for about 45mins down to anther point where u can get on the cog train it was a really nice walk and we had time to sit and take it all in...veryy beautiful! boat back to the train station and then on a train to austria!! we wanted out of switzerland asap...as pretty as it is it is sooooooooo fucking expensive!!! like 13dollarsfor burgerkingand 12dollars for my pasta...STUPIDDDD haha anyways of coursewe-re dumb and had the wrong train station so we didnt get into austria until late last ngiht!
AUSTRIA
idont know we just got here its prettty but im sooooooo done writing this now!! ahha hana will update next...and ihope sooneer for her sake and urs!! haha

the next morning was the louvre!! it was HUGEEEE this building is massive and inside is impossible to navigate!! we went straight for the mona lisa but stopped for pictures of everything along the way lol the mona lisa was pretty cool u cant get very close to it tho and u have to push ur way to the front of the crowd to try and get a picture of it!! but nonetheless it was cool to see such a historical piece of artwork! we also saw a pretty cool tomb of a sphinx and the rest was pictures and statues! after about 3 hrs we were done and hungry!
we went to the eiffel tower,,again!! to have a picnic!! we bought fresh bagettes, salami, and brie cheese and 2 bottles ofwine :) we sat underneath the eiffel tower and ate and drank and talked for about 3hrs!! it was one of the best afternoons we.ve had here and really started to appreciate just how lucky we are to be here!! ihope everyone gets to see the eiffel tower one day it really was soo special.
that evening after the picnic we were a littleee tipsyyy haha sowe had more wine and left over pizza and called it an early night!
BORDEAUX
the next day we left for bordeaux...we didnt get directions to our hotel and got sooo bloody lost and couldnt find a taxi sooo frusterating! but by the time we made it there our hotel was worth it! we had our own kitchen and a bath tub!! lol so after a 2hrs excursion to get damn groceries we both had a bath (seperatly!!) haha and then went to bed for an early day the next day!

Beautiful PORTUGAL!!!! 5 to 6 mins right ladies!!!
Banana:(Lisbon, Cascais, Guincho, PORTUGAL)
So where did we leave off last i think it was us leaving Lagos and how sad we were to leave there! we still are very sad..... but am defently going back next season to work for about 6mnths woot woot! So we arrived to Lisbon at about 12am and yes of course we got lost again suprising right NOT!!!! lol
So our first full day in lisbon we went to a castle on top of one of the highest points of lisbon and you could see all over from there.... There was a bridge there that looked alot like the golden gate bridge... nothing to special, we werent really fond of lisbon to us it was just another big city, and maybe because we both are missing lagos so much. but we did make the best of what we had their... We were able to finally go and see an english movie ¨the ugly truth¨probably one of the funniest movies we have watched in awhile. It was just what we need from`partying about 5days straight in Lagos and lacking of sleep. We cooked two really good dinners there in the kitchen which were amazing and comforting, oh and our last night there we were suppose to go out and explore the night life but we got caught up watching..... HARRY POTTER the first one and yes it was in English.( I pretty much had no choice since Shan was liek i dnt care what you think YOU are watching this lol) I was fine to watch it!!! SO we stayed in watched our movie because we were meeting the aussie girls in the morning for a rendevous with them.
So we found them the next morning at around 1030am we were originally suppose to meet at 9am but info was given wrong, which was no big deal because the small surfer town we were heading to was only 30mins away named ¨ Cascais¨wow what an amazing place to end our final days in Portugal!! SO our first day there we were only given directions to our hostel that said 5 to 6mins walk from the train station no JOKE, soooo guess what yes we got lost yet again lol... So after 30mins of wandering the town we found our Hostel. It was amazing hostel full kitchen with a pool, internet, lounge area, tv room. On our first day we made it a beach day lol, well for a bit until we had a sand storm at the beach and went back to the hostel to use the pool and cook dinner! our first YUMMY stir fry!! ( oh and 10 bottles of wine too!!! heheheh) we also baked at cake for Jess cuz it was her birthday so we celebrated!! oh and in the morning our wonderful friends who decided to invade our room one morning at 9am, yes ants and tons of them everywhere... They were biting us and we woke up with them all in our backpacks and on us, so not what we wanted to be doing at 9am( big FML)
So the next morning we woke up at 830am and got ready to start our day SURFING at a little surf cove named Guincho wow there arent enough words to describe how beautiful it was there... It was a pretty choppy day very windy and it was epic for the wind surfers which were amazing.... But yes we had so much fun the four of us girls were out on our boards for about 2 and a half hours and it was a great work out! ( am pretty sure shan ate alot more water than she wanted too lol) Defently not her sport lol but she tried !!!! After we stopped surfing we had our little picnic lunch at the beach and we were freezing our Butts off we decided to head back and start to get dinner stuff ready and vegg by the pool! Oh and did i mention that our bathroom had a bathtub and yes i got to have my first amazing bath in PORTUGAL i was in heaven lol... have the pics to prove it lol....
On our third day we were suppose to rent bikes in town, well rent them for free ! but we started our day alittle late and so we were unable to get them so we wandered around the town a little and had another day at the `pool and cooked dinner!
On our final day in Cascais we were able to get up early enough and get the bikes soo we rode them along a seawall illegally which we thought we were aloud but ya defently werent oopppsss lol!!! soooo we went and found a bike trail and rode them for another 45mins to a light house and stopped along the coastline sat on a ledge and just took it all in till next year when WE will RETURN!!!! after that we went to these little tidal `pools and layed yes topless for our last time and swam in the sea one last time :(!!!!! Then made one last dinner together then shan and I had an overnight train to catch to Madrid, no tfun at all no sleep no Air con and oh the bathrooms were horrible!! SO we arrived early next morning found our hostel and today we went shopping got theh fall clothes we needed lol, cuz we hadnt packed and thing oopppsss! and a bit of sight seeing today!!! Tomorrow we are offf to PARIS woot woot for 3nights and 2nights in Bordeaux!!!!
Miss you all, but we arent not ready to come home! SORRY we lovce you but not that much JJ!!! lol

beach!

well i believe we last left off going to lagos on the bus! we took an early morning bus to lagos and arrived 5hrs later...got lost again trying to find the hostel...this is a given in every new country we go too! but we found it pretty quick..got settled in and headed to the beach! we got some beers (that tasted like shit!) and just layed by the beach all afternoon..so hot out and the beach was absoloutely beautiful! we then went home and showered and went out for dinner. we went to a tapas bar and shared a few. finally some good food!! that night we planned to stay in and share a bottle of wine...yaa we met some people from canada and new zealand and were talked into going out for a drink!! or 2.. haha but a relatively early night.
the next day we woke up and yes..went to the beach! we just hung out again all day enjoying the sun and the ocean and then met another girl from the uk..anna and some aussie boys that were living in town. we decided to go out for thai food with anna that night and had an amazing meal! so great not to eat bread again! we then got some vodka and played kings and spoons at our hostel!! soo funny! then we all went out to jonos together. then pubcrawled...just checked out a bunch of difffernt bars and met some crossdressers lol apparently people in lagos love to dress up.!
the next day..u guessed it...beach! this time anna took us to a different beach about a 20min walk. it was a little cove and it had the most amazing views. we chilled out all day and used our floatys topless! hehe we went out for indian that night had a great meal and tried to call it an early night!
welllll that wasnt happening because the boys in town were dressed up as smurfs!! they painted themselves entirely blue from head to toe and had costumes and everything! it was way to funny to stay in so we went out with them for a bit and took lots of pictures. the entire town the next morning had blue on them! lol we were woken up at 230 am by rob ...wearing no pants,...just a blue man yelling hana get up and TANK! lol sooo funnny hana kissed a blue smurf lol
the next day..yes beach. we then cooked that night and had another ggreat really heathly meal. and 2 bottles of wine. then we went out for our last night in lagos...welll we proceeded to get quite drunk!! damn ally one of the owners at the stumble in hostel!! she kept feeding us shots!! we were soo hammered! it was a really fun night..so much so that we decided to stay one more night lol so at 12am we msgd our hostel in lisbon and said we are not coming! haha so we slept inn and woke up extremly hung to find out that we were going to be charged soooo we went to the BEACH hehe one last time and made our hungover way to lisbon. after 5hrs of exhausting travel we finally made it here...uploaded pics and went to bed!!
today we woke up and had free break and then wondered around lisbon...meh ....kinda cold...castle was cool. dinner tonight and thats that...BEACH ON SUNDAY!

welllll that wasnt happening because the boys in town were dressed up as smurfs!! they painted themselves entirely blue from head to toe and had costumes and everything! it was way to funny to stay in so we went out with them for a bit and took lots of pictures. the entire town the next morning had blue on them! lol we were woken up at 230 am by rob ...wearing no pants,...just a blue man yelling hana get up and TANK! lol sooo funnny hana kissed a blue smurf lol
the next day..yes beach. we then cooked that night and had another ggreat really heathly meal. and 2 bottles of wine. then we went out for our last night in lagos...welll we proceeded to get quite drunk!! damn ally one of the owners at the stumble in hostel!! she kept feeding us shots!! we were soo hammered! it was a really fun night..so much so that we decided to stay one more night lol so at 12am we msgd our hostel in lisbon and said we are not coming! haha so we slept inn and woke up extremly hung to find out that we were going to be charged soooo we went to the BEACH hehe one last time and made our hungover way to lisbon. after 5hrs of exhausting travel we finally made it here...uploaded pics and went to bed!!
today we woke up and had free break and then wondered around lisbon...meh ....kinda cold...castle was cool. dinner tonight and thats that...BEACH ON SUNDAY!

Spain
Banana: (Spain, Barcelona, Seville)
Sooo last we wrote that we were catching a train at 630am and this was not fun at all. See we had to switch trains 5 times in one day and at some of the stops we had only 10mins in between train departures which for about three of them we had to run too lol... so image seeing Shan and I running with our backpacks.( ya was pretty funny)
So we did our first stop in Barcelona and we did not arrive until 7pm that night and we were starving, so we decided to go for an authentic Spainish meal. Well we decided to share a few tapas items and one being these chicken nugget type of things so we were like good no more mystery meat lol... Well were we wrong, these sooo called chicken nuggets were disgusting (YUCK) sooo let me describe them to you and you can judge for yourselves lol.... Best way to describe them to you is they are an outside layer of a chicken nugget but on the inside its all mushy and shit.... Its basically taking a McChicken Nugget and blending it in a blender then injecting it back into the shell of the nugget! GROSS, i was basically gaging in my mouth lol... The best part of our dinner was our VINO suprsing right lol.... Best Vino so far has to be spain, we wish we could ship it home :( after dinner we ventred down to the main square called las ramblas and it was nice but very dead as it was a Monday, and we were a little nervous going out alone there... so we stayed out till about 3am
So our second day in Barcelona was a very chill day all we wanted to do was go by the sea and chill with our tubes... which was just what we did. the sea in Barcelona had alot of waves but it was very warm and very nice beaches.. Later that night we went got our geroceries for the next few days and were going to start to make our first real meal at home we were so excited.. Honestly this was the best meal we have had in Europe lol and we cooked it lol... (chicken, noodles and Broccoli!!!!!) yummy! Honestly we are going to have to slowly wein ourselves off of CARBS!!! we hate them lol...
Next day we went and did abit of sight seeing in Bacelona we went and saw the famous cathedrial that Gauidi desgined and is still being built to this day. there is so much detail to this building that I believe over 5 to 6 diffrent contractors have had an input on the building. We went and saw the famous statue of Christopher Colombus and walked around Las Ramblas for a bit of shopping and to wonder around and look at all the Gypsy. Later that night we made another dinner and wemt out for our final night in Barcelona to go to Seville for another long train ride 12hours straight this one!
So we got up at 630am to catch our train and with about three hours of sleep and us both sooo tired we were not happy campers at all lol... So we boarded our train which was okay but very uncomfortable and no one spoke english so this was very hard because about half waz into the train ride to Seville we came to a complete stop in the middle of nowhere and we were literally stuck their for over 2hours not able to find out what was going on.... So our sooo called 12hour train ride turned into 15hours a big FML.... lol but we made it safe and sound
Our first day in seville we walked along their famous little river to go and find this gold tower the bull fighting ring and this famous park called Maria Luisa and let me tell you the walk was hell in the heat and because we are in the desert basically right now it get to be about 38 degrees by 2pm and is sooo dry.. but once we reached the park after a 45min walk it was covered by trees and many fountains it was beautiful... We rented a two person bike which was sooo much fun and we did abit of off roading with it lol lots of fun! So we thought we would give Spain another try on the dinner soo we went out again and let me tell you we hate the food to fatty and gross, we do not understand why they have to put ham in everything lol
Today we went on a walking tour of seville learmed about all the history and that was very intresting lots of info on this little place... after that we went did a little shopping around the main center checked all the shops out and now we are off for hopefully a good dinner that our tour guide has recommended... wish us luck!

FRENCH RIVIERA

soooo we.ll try and update more often so u guys can read it all in one sitting! lol i believe hana left of when we got to nice.france.
so we arrived at 8pm,got some booze,got ready and headed out to monaco for the night! we took the last train..at 1145. its about 20mins away..we went to the monte carlo casino! sounds cool...kinda meh lol it was pretty small but it was really really nice. monaco itself was gorgeous...very high roller. haha lots of nice cars and big yahts. we then went to a small resteraunt had some tequila shots then went to a nightclub! its was huge and they played awesome music! we just danced all night and hung out. we were pretty beat at 4am but then first train back to nice wasnt until 530am so we just danced some more and then came home!! slept for a solid 2hrs and had to get up and switch rooms since ashley was leaving that morning!! lol so we had breakfast together,said goodbye and went back to sleep!!
slept till 2 and then decided we better go and actually see nice!! we just wondered down to the beach..about a 15min walk..lotss of stores and shopping along the way!! we then went swiiming in the french riviera...it is soooo beautiful. the water is so blue and soo nice on a hot day! it was really wavy that day so no tube action for us! lol
dinner that night was...chinese! haha we are so sick of food here so something diff was GREAT! then we went to bed haha so tired from the night before!
the next day we were going to go to st.tropez..woke up early got everything ready for the day and then found out our train didnt leave until 1 and we.d have to take a train and then another bus to get there so we thought ummm no! we stayed in nice. went to the beach alllll day laid in our little tubes for a while! read and chilled out allll day! it was great. then we went and got some stuff for dinner,fresh bread,brie cheese,and tuna and mayo with cucumber and tomato! cheap easy dinner! oh and wine of course!! so we ate dinner in the common room of our hostel...met some people and then we tried to play cards with them...note to self....dont try and play rummi with people from other countries who have different rules and dont speak great english...it doesnt work!! haha
so giving up on cards..we decided to go out! it was me and hana and a buncha guys from everywhere...berlin,london,denmark(shit ya)lol and GIG HARBOUR! i met someone who lives in the same town as my family!! he even went to jennas HIGHSCHOOL!! (stadium) he grew up in the same area as jenna and i think he knows one of jeremys friends! wat a bloody small world!! haaha
so yaa we all went out..tried a few different clubs...just danced a bit..music was lame so it was an early night!
we planned to try to go to st.tropez again..but that meant 8amtrain for an hour and another hour bus...and cannes was 1030 and half an hour...so cannes it was!!
cannes was pretty cool! it looks pretty similar to nice..but it was sand beaches instead of rock so that was nice...welll more comfortable to lay on but sand up the ass isnt fun ever! hehe
so we just chilled again..had a picnic lunch then left and saw the theatre where the film festival is and all the famous people have hand printed plaques in the ground so that was cool!
then it was back to nice...we came home showered,packed..got some groceries for our 12 HOUR travel day tomrmrow and then chinese again for dinner..haha yes we are lazy and nothing is open here on sunday!
sooo now its another early night as we have to get up at 5AM to catch our first train to barcelona...the first of FIVE!! 5 trains...going to be a longgg day!! but...barcelona tomrorow night will be great! we are a little nervous...but we.re always careful and we.ll be extra careful there!

Banana... ( Florence, Venice, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Verona, Milan, Nice,)
(Day 1...)(Luxury) Where do i being, sorry it has taken us so long to update but we have basically been non stop for the last 8days straight. Sooo Florence was amazing besides the train ride there we were very tired. Our first day we arrived there we had a 4 bedroom suite with our girlfriends from home so that was nice. When we arrived we were a little unsure of what it would be like, but to our suprise it was AMAZING! it wasnt just any ordinary hostel it was a damn HOTEL lol.... with our own flat screen tv and computer on top of that, oh plus we had free international calling to home soo this is why we all called home every few days while we were their lol! So after we all checked in and kind of settled it was about 5pm and we were all starving so we decided to go explore Florence.... We ended up spliting up for dinner in Florence and shan and I went to this little buffet dinner where you could write on the walls their.... Many travellers had written on the wall and many from Canada sooo of course we had too lol.... That was fun and a great little dinner and the owner sat and played guitar for us while we sat and enjoyed!
(Day 2) So on our first real day in Florence we ventured out to go explore some more and find the Duomo and the famous DAVID(the perfect male anatomy) Duomo is a church which we just stumpled upon and we went to the museum where david was but it was so expensive just to see the actually thing we found a replica of him in one of the squares where of course all the toursits go to visit lol.... Oh and in the square we were invaded by a bunch of asain tourists who for some reason were facsinated by our feet and us and started taking pictures lol(cazy asaians lol) After we saw what we wanted we decided to head to a few shops we had seen along the way and to go through the famous leather market of Florence which is about 2 blocks of little vendors set up... That was fun just to browse and doddle a bit lol.... Then we headed home around 4pm napped for abit and made our first meal in EUROPE and oh my it felt so good to cook again. pasta mhhhh Shan and I are going to have to wein ourselves of FUCKING carbs when we get home cuz thats all the Europeans eat! yet we don't understand why they stay so dam skinny lol....
(Day 3) Soo thrid day in Florence we did a day trip to Pisa and Cinque Terre. We started at 5am which weren't suppose to have to get up till 6am but someone didnt set the alarm clock right and we got up an hour earlier after only 3hours of sleep not soo fun anita!! haha and we all know am not a nice person in the am, needless to say i was NOT impressed lol.... So we made it to Pisa and were sooo overly tired we couldn't stop lauhing at all the stupid little shit along the way. oh and Shannon was on a mission to find....(can anyone guess) yes coffee lol.... so her new nickname now is (TANK) she never stops..lol we had our lunch for breakfast which was turkey sandwhiches which we found so funny yet sooo good at 7am lol.... SOoooo after we found shan coffe and she was happy again we walked 15mins and found Pisa.... It was really cool to see but we all werent going to pay like 11euros to go up a buliding which sinks a little every year no thanks lol.... We sat around their for about an hour because we had to wait to catch our train to Cinque terre, so Shan and I layed in the grass and found shapes in the clouds lol....
So Cinque Terre where do I begin its made up of 5 small villages along the coast line of Italy and might I say breath taking.... We stop at the first village and got out and walked around a little bit most of the towns you could walk around on trails but of course it was a fee to pay to walk them. Well we just walked the first one the shortest one because we were on a time limit.... But am so glad we did. we walked under a bridge which was famous their for the graffti and where all the lovers go to lock a lock to this look out point to ring ever lasting love. Then on to the second and third and fourth little villages which were all pretty much the same amazing views and awesome vibe from all the locals.... The last little villages was one of my favortes where i stoped took of my shoes and just let the waves crash against my legs for half an hour looking at a breath taking view.... After that it was about 7pm back on a three hour train ride back to Florence we were soooo tried and ready for bed... we still all had to pack because we were all on our way to Venice the next morning at 7am ohhh fun NOT lol....
(day 4) Travel to Venice was pretty quick about a two hour train ride and it was okay besides being sooo cold that our lips were purple lol.... Soooo did we have an adventure in Venice or what it was sooo expensive and their was nothing avaliable and since we left it to the final night to book accomadation until 11pm till the night before we went Camping in Venice lol... It was actualy really cute and very small we basically in a box with misqutoes lol.... but we had a little kitchen which we saved money by cooking breakfast and our dinners....try craming 4 girls into a box with one bathroom and one mirror not so fun lol.... But all in all it was really cute and the price was right sooo it worked for us.... Sooo after we got their we went into town to get some lunch and see how much it cost to do the gondola rides..... we wondered for a few hours got gelato and found some steps by the water where men were rowing down the canals and man was it a meat market for us instead of us being the meat we were hooting and talking with them.... Probably some of the best looking men we have seen in all Europe was in Venice lol.... So after making videos and taking pics for about 4hours Shan and I caught an earlier bus back and grabed a bottle of wine SUPRSING lol and sat down to play cards and have a few drinks... WHen we had a knock at our dooor, where one of the guys that worked their look at my passport found out how old we were and knowing that their were 4 girls decided to move in lol.... well he brought free beer and wine and we didnt want to be rude sooo we all sat around talking till about 2am. They turned out to be really nice guys sooo that was good lol....
(Day5) We made a day trip into Verona which is where Juliettes house is and one of the first century colusseums was ever built.... We made our way to Juliets house where their is a bronze statue and it is said that if you place your hand on her right boob you have a new love in your lofe soon.... So of course Shan and I did this being the toursits we are lol..... We wandered around their for a few hours and headed back to come home to leftovers and I was not in the mood for more pasta so i had yogart and gronola for dinner yummy lol....
(Day 6) On our final day in Venice we decided to go do alittle shopping wander the streets and get lost in the streets.... Thats what all the books say is to just get lost in Venice oh and did we ever lol.... We also wanted to do the Gondals sooo we found a very nice man whom took us around for just over 35mins and told us about alot of the history within Venice.... which was very intresting and it was soo ROMANTIC made Shan and I want to have a guy their with us, but we will return one day with our husbands or eachother lol.....
(Day7) McMilan.... So we had to take a train from Venice to Milan to Nice (south of France) soo we had about three hours to kill in between sooo we decided to go see the shopping capital of the world.... needless to say it was sooo fuckin epensive to do anything their we had to eat lunch at McDonalds ya not the greatest meal at all but it was the cheapest lol.... Then another stupid train ride oh ya the longest one yet 6hours not soo fun in a cramped room with 6 people in it and for some dam reason Europeans do not believe in deoderant and the Italian men are always staring at you! even when you have made eye contact with them and I had fallen asleep a few time and woke up to the creepy Italian man staring at me sooo creppy! SOoooo now that I have wrote a novel for all of you I hope you enjoy it and it will be updated about our first nigth in Nice in a few days!

It was actualy really cute and very small we basically in a box with misqutoes lol.... but we had a little kitchen which we saved money by cooking breakfast and our dinners....try craming 4 girls into a box with one bathroom and one mirror not so fun lol.... But all in all it was really cute and the price was right sooo it worked for us.... Sooo after we got their we went into town to get some lunch and see how much it cost to do the gondola rides..... we wondered for a few hours got gelato and found some steps by the water where men were rowing down the canals and man was it a meat market for us instead of us being the meat we were hooting and talking with them.... Probably some of the best looking men we have seen in all Europe was in Venice lol.... So after making videos and taking pics for about 4hours Shan and I caught an earlier bus back and grabed a bottle of wine SUPRSING lol and sat down to play cards and have a few drinks... WHen we had a knock at our dooor, where one of the guys that worked their look at my passport found out how old we were and knowing that their were 4 girls decided to move in lol.... well he brought free beer and wine and we didnt want to be rude sooo we all sat around talking till about 2am. They turned out to be really nice guys sooo that was good lol....
(Day5) We made a day trip into Verona which is where Juliettes house is and one of the first century colusseums was ever built.... We made our way to Juliets house where their is a bronze statue and it is said that if you place your hand on her right boob you have a new love in your lofe soon.... So of course Shan and I did this being the toursits we are lol..... We wandered around their for a few hours and headed back to come home to leftovers and I was not in the mood for more pasta so i had yogart and gronola for dinner yummy lol....
(Day 6) On our final day in Venice we decided to go do alittle shopping wander the streets and get lost in the streets.... Thats what all the books say is to just get lost in Venice oh and did we ever lol.... We also wanted to do the Gondals sooo we found a very nice man whom took us around for just over 35mins and told us about alot of the history within Venice.... which was very intresting and it was soo ROMANTIC made Shan and I want to have a guy their with us, but we will return one day with our husbands or eachother lol.....
(Day7) McMilan.... So we had to take a train from Venice to Milan to Nice (south of France) soo we had about three hours to kill in between sooo we decided to go see the shopping capital of the world.... needless to say it was sooo fuckin epensive to do anything their we had to eat lunch at McDonalds ya not the greatest meal at all but it was the cheapest lol.... Then another stupid train ride oh ya the longest one yet 6hours not soo fun in a cramped room with 6 people in it and for some dam reason Europeans do not believe in deoderant and the Italian men are always staring at you! even when you have made eye contact with them and I had fallen asleep a few time and woke up to the creepy Italian man staring at me sooo creppy! SOoooo now that I have wrote a novel for all of you I hope you enjoy it and it will be updated about our first nigth in Nice in a few days!

when in ROME...part deux

day 2 in rome! this was vatican city day! we woke up early had breakfast at the hostel and went to meet the girls at the train station. we decided to meet early to do a few things before the vatican! we started off with the spanish steps! The Scalinata is the longest and widest staircase in Europe. 138 steps! it was pretty cool. and theyre sorrounded by gucci,prada,dior,bulgaria. u name it and it was there! very high end! we all went up the stairs and sat and people watched for a bit!
then it was off to the trevi fountain. about a 5min walk! it was hugee and so beautiful. 85 ft high,the statues are massive! and the water in the fountain is brought all the way from the salone springs (about 20kms) it was used back in the day for people to bathe in! it is still to this day a pure water source!
then it was a bus ride to vatican city!! we met up with our tour group, we all went to a cafe to grab a quick lunch and then it was into the vatican musuem! u have to cover ur shoulders and knees inside so on a 35dgr day this is not very fuN!! but once inside..minus no aircon..it was still worth it! we saw sculptures that michelangelo did, a hugeee perserved bronze statue of hercules,tapestrys that leonardo divincis students made, and sooo much more. we only did 10 rooms, there are 1400 rooms!!!!!!! they say if u were to spend 3 seconds looking at every peice in the vatican musuem u would be inside for 12 YEARS!!! thats insane! but i can imagine how people spend more time inside. just the ceiling and wall and floor painting were incredibily detailed and beautiful.
after the musuem was the sistine chapel!! no words can describle this place. it was stunning. michelangelo took 4 years to paint it..against his will! he did not want to paint it but was forced to by the current pope. he actually hated to paint and thought he was bad at it. the first block that he painted took him 6 months, the last one took him 1 day!! also alot of the painting he did were to piss off the pope! lol like painting gods bare ass and then telling the pope when he got mad that he had painted a veil over it and if the pope couldnt see it than he must have a impure mind!! hahaha but besides all of the impressive paintings he made on the high ceiling the one he was again forced to come back and paint was, the last judgment. the pope made him come back to the sistine chapel again when he was 60 to paint this last wall. well michelangelo was NOT happy to be back so in his revenge he painted everyone naked and refused to cover them up. when one of the popes aids snuck in and saw what he had done and tried to make him change it. he got so mad that he painted that mans face on the man who judges people in hell) lol besides the fact he didnt want to paint it, it was one of the most impressive things i have ever seen. its huge and beautiful...no pictures allowed but i got a great one to show u all!! ;) oh and another random fact..hitler tried to see the sistine chapel 3 times before he died,and each time he went it just "happened" to be closed that day...pretty crazy.
after the sistine chapel was st.johns basillica. the reason its a basillica and not a church is because there are popes buried underneath it! st john the first pope was buried there and every pope since. this basillica is MASSIVE. it is the biggesst church in the world. all of the marble there was stolen from the castle at palatine hill and used to build this church! tsk tsk but the outcome was incredible. again the high ceilings the massive organ the statues and the only ever sculpture back then carved from one slab was michelangelos david. crazy! its packed with people but so quiet kind of a surreal experience.
cant wait to show u all pictures and videos . its impossible to sit here and really explain what it was like to be inside all of these beautiful ancient buildings. me and hana are in love with rome and really sad to be leaving already!
last night after 2 days of crazy site seeing we decided to stay close to the hostel and have an early night. well u know us and that turned into 2 bottles of wine, pizza and some crazy italian man sitting next to us to start seranting us!! lol oh and bought us roses! lol after dinner we went for some gelato which was so good! When in ROME....

Hey guys sooo our first day in Rome we arrived late at 11:30pm, and as soon as we got off the train it was amazing. Not scared here at all and people we soooo friendly besides the few men who make kissing sounds at us and say Bella, Bella... lol So we found our hostel after getting alittle lost but we made it.. It is a great hostel named Freedom travellers, on arrivial we got free beers and not only that we also had a free bottle of wine waiting for us in our room lol...( needless to say Shan and I were very HAPPY)
So on our first full day here we were suppose to meet up with two of our girl friends from BC and we never found them. So we ventured to theColosseum for our first tour. As we were in line up with our tour guide we stummbled upon the girls... What are the odds of running into them at a place where their were over 1000 people their at a time... So we chatted for a few mins and decided to meet for dinner at around 6pm...
So shan and I started our tour with this amazing little italian lady named Danny, at the time the Colosseum being used the emperor Nero was in charge of the most gruteste fights in Italy. He was a sick man who took pride in killing people and tourturing them with slow deaths. At times some Glatiators would be unlucky and have to try and fight off 3 animals at a time, where some men were "lucky" and only had to fight 1 animal at a time. If the men were still alive after a battle but hurt the governors would decide whether or not they shall live with Nero's final decison. If they were to die they would die a painful and brutal death. Nero would also kill criminals and christians in the Colosseum, in front of spectators for his own pleasures. On days where he felt threatened by other religious people meaning Christians he would brutally kill them in front of his spectators, especailly when he felt threated by another religion. Nero was a very sick and twisted man. Also in the Colosseum they had hidden rooms where aparently women who wore a yellow dress was a free woman for all, Nero had a private chamber for himself and guest where many orgys would take place during the battles and breaks. Also the Colosseum was only used for fights for a handful of years.
After the Colosseum we when to Palantine Hill which is where Nero had his home, most of his home was made of marble that was imported from Egypt, Greece and South Africa. Nero at one time had over 4000 slaves at one time and would do as he pleased with them, from brutally killing them in front of guestes, to making them entertain them. He would sell slaves with his guests, once he was bored with them or did not need them any longer. After when Nero was out of power and well after he took his life, because the people started to go against him as he was about to bankrupt Rome. Another Emperor and his son took over and were well liked by the people. Many years later when the preist were starting to build St. Peters Church instead of going 30kms for the marble they wanted to bulid the church, they stole it form Palantine hill, Michealangelo begged the preist not to destroy the history of Neros home, even if it was not from a well liked man... Michealangelo cried on many occasions as he watched it being destroyed.
After Palatine hill we went to the Roman Forum, this is where all the political events would take place and the courts were held. This is also the place where Cearser Julias was buried and we stummbled upon his grave site that was amazing to see. After walking around for almost 9hours we decided to venture back and get ready to meet the girls...
So our first dinner in Italy was not the most amazing experience... the food was really good but our waiter was a asshole. We have come to notice that alot of Europeans do not like foreingers do not like us travellers lol... but all in all we had an amazing dinner with great wine... I love the wine in Italy its amazing here... Rome has been a really great experience for us and we are not ready to leave yet...

travel days
bambam: napoli
well our second to last night at the pink palace was spent recouperating somewhat! we slept for 12hrs and then got up and had our last day by the water! well in the water with our little round floaty tubes! haha we spent hours out there! then hanaaa decided we should have a bottle of wine with dinner! our last dinner at the pink palace..at least we got the chicken again!! so we had some wine and then we decided to stick around the togo party and watch everyone all dressed up! wwe ended up drinking 3 bottles of wine dancing all night and had soo much fun our last night in greece!! :( this time I actually had to drag hana home at 3am! we had to be up at 630 to catch our ferry at 9!! lol so 3 bottles of wine and 2 hrs of sleep later we were up HAULING our backpacks up the hike from our room to the reception area at pink palace! (all of u were there will understand our pain!) (170 stairs and lots of uphill) lol we were then on the longeest ferry ride to brindisi,italy ever!! haha needless to say we didnt feel so hott! i think thats the 3 or 4th time we-ve vowed never to drink again before travelling! lol
we made it to brindisi aboutt 13hrs later! got to our hostel which was pretty decent! we were hungryyy and they made us a delicious home cooked meal that we all ate outside of the hostel by the pool! straight to bed after, we had an earlyy train to napoli the next morning and running on little sleep! welll we slept in and nearly missed our train!! lol we were suppose to leave at 730 am and woke up at 715! haha alot of rushing later we made it there at about 750 and made our train! it was an hour train than a 5hr bus ride to napoli!! we finallyy got here and had to find a place to stay! its a littlee sketcky so we found the cheapest place close to the train station ate dinner at 430pm (mc,ds in pizza) lol and retired to our sauna for the night!! it was 31 degrees in our room! 31 !!!! and our fan barely worked! hahah so we played cards naked and hana tryed to insult me when i was winnning...her insult....im stupid hahahha (u prob had to be there, but hana calling herself stupid naked playing cards was pretty hilarious lol!!
we slept for a solid 12hrs and woke up at 9am to head to pompei!! its only about a 30min train ride..well 30mins for people who know how to get on what train to get there ...for us more like an hour and asking 5 different people. haha
we made it finally!! and needed breakfast...well i guess iced expresso and pizza counts as breakfast right?? lol..oh and hana got high off the coffee hahahah
then into pompei, for those who dont know pompei was a city 2000yrs ago that was covered in ash when the volcano erupted on aug24 79ad so however many years ago,.yesterday was the anniversary! it was discovered years later burried but still perserved so they unburied it and people are able to walk all through the city and see how they used to live. it was sooo interesting! we saw tons of houses,ampitheatres,gardens,temples,people actually perserved that were buried alive in the volcano trying to escape! so sad! we also saw a brothel!! (they had all these beds and above each bed was a painting of a position and whichever postion u wanted (apparently u only got one back then!) lol ud pick and go in that room! so crazy that this stuff is still there after being completely burried in ash. we walked around for 5hrs looking at everything!! by the end we were exhausted and hungry! so we had some pasta and gelato for dessert and headed back to napoli!
we.re now waiting for our train into rome tonight and reallly looking forward to not travelling for a few days and getting to see all the sites in rome!! :D

PINK PALACE trouble heheeheheh

Hey Guys!!! Soooo where do i begin, so much has happened since we last wrote on here.... Well first off we met some amazing girls here, their were 8 of us in Total the Toronto ladies( Steph/Kathleen) Irish ladies(sarah/michelle) and the Aussie ladies( Jess/Kayla) not to mention two other girls from BC ( Ang/Leah) We had a fucking blast with them we all really hit it off together.... We also got the pleasure of meeting annoying people such as we like to call them Miss USA, Douche bag CANADA and Douche bag USA lol.... INSIDE joke right ladies bahahahhh
We even had our own table that we sat at every night and yes we played KINGS CUP, mixed up the rules a bit and threw in new things we had learned from everyone, so now we have a international game of KINGS CUP!!!!!
SOO shan and I decided to venture into Corfu town and go and try and buy our ferry tickets to Bari Italy, ya that was a hellish experience in it self.... we got their and they tried to rip us offf or we thought that and not to forget to mention we went with out our passports and we could't buy the fucking tickets without them...( fuck were dumb, this what happens when you drink execessive amonts of alcohol in a few days lol) oh and on the way home we once again got lost some how lol and shannon almost hit a car how i have no idea, just alittle scary....
Sooo we have been having hot meals here which has been nice except for the mystery meat they bring to us and how salty it is just so that they get us to buy more drinks to think that we are thirsty, we are starting to catch on to their money making Bullshit here lol....
Sooo one night after dancing at the playdium and once again playing KINGS, Jess, Sarah, Michelle and I decided to go Skinny diping at about 3am that was alot of fun except it was a really dark night out and we started to scare ourselves lol... not to mention the crazy walk in the dark to get their and stummbling into to people getting a little frisky on the beach if you guys get my drift ;) ( Ill keep it a little PG13). The night I was out with the girls and Shan had gone into Corfu Town with a boy on a date....( hehehhe in Greece) He is actually from BC Vancouver believe it or not, but Greek and is fluent in the Greek launguage, which was nice for Shan... They went to dinner and dancing.( didnt get home until 630am)
Soooo next day this was our 6day here Shan had still been drinking and is now sick/lacking sleep.... We went to another beach too named Gyfala it was beautiful and all sandy no rocks to be stepping over and cutting our feet!!! Later in the day we came back and decided since almost everyone was leaving shan and I :( we wanted to go into town and Party their at the Bars... WE met somemore canadian boys and they joined us in town... Okay soo we didnt get home until 630am but OH my word sooo worth it... it was beautiful and had an outdoor pation looking at the stars and not to mention an amazing DJ.... Oh and we were PIMPS for the night got us some bottle services yes we were in style lol..... ( jj mom and dads it was cheaper this way)

Hey Guys!!! Soooo where do i begin, so much has happened since we last wrote on here.... Well first off we met some amazing girls here, their were 8 of us in Total the Toronto ladies( Steph/Kathleen) Irish ladies(sarah/michelle) and the Aussie ladies( Jess/Kayla) not to mention two other girls from BC ( Ang/Leah) We had a fucking blast with them we all really hit it off together.... We also got the pleasure of meeting annoying people such as we like to call them Miss USA, Douche bag CANADA and Douche bag USA lol.... INSIDE joke right ladies bahahahhh
We even had our own table that we sat at every night and yes we played KINGS CUP, mixed up the rules a bit and threw in new things we had learned from everyone, so now we have a international game of KINGS CUP!!!!!
SOO shan and I decided to venture into Corfu town and go and try and buy our ferry tickets to Bari Italy, ya that was a hellish experience in it self.... we got their and they tried to rip us offf or we thought that and not to forget to mention we went with out our passports and we could't buy the fucking tickets without them...( fuck were dumb, this what happens when you drink execessive amonts of alcohol in a few days lol) oh and on the way home we once again got lost some how lol and shannon almost hit a car how i have no idea, just alittle scary....
Sooo we have been having hot meals here which has been nice except for the mystery meat they bring to us and how salty it is just so that they get us to buy more drinks to think that we are thirsty, we are starting to catch on to their money making Bullshit here lol....
Sooo one night after dancing at the playdium and once again playing KINGS, Jess, Sarah, Michelle and I decided to go Skinny diping at about 3am that was alot of fun except it was a really dark night out and we started to scare ourselves lol... not to mention the crazy walk in the dark to get their and stummbling into to people getting a little frisky on the beach if you guys get my drift ;) ( Ill keep it a little PG13). The night I was out with the girls and Shan had gone into Corfu Town with a boy on a date....( hehehhe in Greece) He is actually from BC Vancouver believe it or not, but Greek and is fluent in the Greek launguage, which was nice for Shan... They went to dinner and dancing.( didnt get home until 630am)
Soooo next day this was our 6day here Shan had still been drinking and is now sick/lacking sleep.... We went to another beach too named Gyfala it was beautiful and all sandy no rocks to be stepping over and cutting our feet!!! Later in the day we came back and decided since almost everyone was leaving shan and I :( we wanted to go into town and Party their at the Bars... WE met somemore canadian boys and they joined us in town... Okay soo we didnt get home until 630am but OH my word sooo worth it... it was beautiful and had an outdoor pation looking at the stars and not to mention an amazing DJ.... Oh and we were PIMPS for the night got us some bottle services yes we were in style lol..... ( jj mom and dads it was cheaper this way)

booze cruise

sooo i know its not my turn to post but i needed to get a quick one in here! im at the internet cafe after the booze cruise..hana is napping!! it was sooo much fun!! we first went on this tiny ass boat to a cliff/rock, where people went cliff jumping..after 3 beer and shots!! i was the first and one of the only 2 girls that went!! the climb was SOOOO much worse than the jump!! it was 30ft and i was freaking out trying to climb it..literally if u fall u die. i made it thank god! and i was the second person to jump...if u jump naked u get free drinks!!!! (sorry mom and dad) well not really u taught me to save money,,and i heard free drinks all day and thought what the hell!! it was for 2 seconds and i didnt spend a dime today!!! hahahaha
after that was bat caves!! it was so cool u swim into this dark hole and see bats all above u! i swam into this really dark part where u cant even see infront of u and i thought i was alone with ahana behind me but i guess someone went ahead..well they freaked the shit outa me,,i thought it was a ghost ahahhah i havent been reading much fiction i swear!! anyways after that was more cliff diving in the bat caves!! me and my new friend michelle from ireland were the only girls again to do it!! so fun!! this again was naked!! the climb is sooo much worse than anything elsE! omy word! i saw a scorpion half way up! but wat do u doo!! u cant stop theres no where else to go!!! im so proud of myself for doing it!! hana was a chicken shit and did niether jump!! butttt in all fairness she did win the couples drinking game!!
we were on a private beach next and they played a drinking game ,basically guy n a girl and u have to do whatever they say,,kinda like simon says. well hana n her man won and i got a pretty sweet picture of them doing 69 upside down!! ahahhaha (clothes on dont worry) free drinks for her after this!!! hahahha
we had sooo soo much fun and we're both prettyy hammered. hana is napping and im wasting time before diiner im soo hungryy!!

travel time and voltures

here we go again..as im sitting at a nice airconditoned internet room at the pink palace,corfu!! this place is huge and its green! id begun to forget what trees looked like! its beautiful here! getting here was interesting though! we had one last day in athens before we travelled here on a bus that left at 8pm. so we wondered platka. an area with shops and food right below the acropolis! i had my first crepe! which was amazinggg banana n strawberry and nutella all heated up in a crepe omg delicious! im addicted! hana had one as well tho i think i remember eating the remander of it! lol i swear i didnt steal it! then we went on a mission to find an electronic store to buy hana an ipod charger..u would think in an area with millions of stores there would be lots...but no, after maybee 2 hours we finally found one!! now hana can finally charge her ipod! we then went up to the lookout point again at the acropolis! so beautfiul u can see everything from there!
we had an interesting experience from there! a man started talking to us,apollo. but not the greek god dammit! haha he was interesting (the self proclaimed "ladies man") haha so we chatted with him for an hour or so and he started to talk to another woman from greece,living in munich,eillen. the 4 of us sat on top of this rock and he was teaching us greek words and getting random people to take our picture! he explained to us why all greek men play with beads (u see it everywheree) he said its less work then playing with urself (if u catch my drift!) lol so funny
we all then decided to go for a beer and along the way picked up a girl from turkey! (how apollo randomly does this i dont know! ) so we all jsut sat down at a cafe n chatted. it was soo interesting talking to the girl from turkey,giselle, she is studying abroad in greece and getting her masters. in turkey u cant travel anywhere without getting a visa. and its not easy. alot of poeple go to school to become teachers and docters just so they can leave the country freely. it was really eye opening to how lucky we canadians really are! meeting people from other countries is really interesting, how different we all are but so similar in some ways! (one interesting one-in denmark - u can drink at 16 legally but red bull is illegal and OREOS! were illegal until 2 years ago! so crazyy!
nexttt was the bus ride.,leave athens at 8pm arrive in corfu 530am. in a perfect world. in our worldd we got stuck behind a hugee accident for 2 hrs missed our ferry and arrived at 930am!! fanntastic. buses are so so comfortable to sleep oN! lol but we arrived safe and sound, they gave us a shot of ouzo for our trouble n sent us to breakfast! haha only in greece
so last night was offically our first night in corfu! dinner and breakfast are included so we went to dinner and its on a balcony outside over looking the sunset i swear the sky was purple after it was beautiful. they serve u your food, last night was salad bread and chicken potatoes and green beans! pretty decent!! and it wasnt tzatiki, agaiN! haha (little sick of greek food)
after dinner u go downstairs and its a bar with a huge dancefloor! last night was the togo party, so they give u a pink sheet and u figure out a way to wear it and go dancing! everyonne wears one, the boys dont cover much skin here!! we danced drank and then they had some entertainment! greek dancers and plate smashing!! i had a plate smashed on my head and was givin a shot of ouzo! lol after more dancing and thattss when the voltures came out!!
so there was 5 girls. we met 2 girls from toronto(one orginally from richmond) and another girl from kelowna! we decided to go dance and we were attacked,swarmed,mobbed,crushed,grabbed,surrounded, by italian men! we've never everr experieced anything like this!! it was unbelievable! i seriously felt like that tiny piece of bread the pigeons all fight over! it was ridiculous we literally had to go sit back down! dancing after that was interesting, we were much more aggressive, if u push hard enough they go find another piece of bread elsewhere!! haha
breakfast this morning was decent eggs and toast then we layed out on the beach alllll day. readding and swimming it was so relaxing! and its bloody hot here i love it!! the pink palace is pretty cool. our room could be bigger,cleaner,not have bunkbeds! butt at least we have airconditioning and a real shower!! im learning not to be so picky! we really are so lucky and are having the best time!
tomorrow BOOZE CRUISE! cliff jumping bat caves and snorkeling! here were come!!

Creepy crawleys/ Davies Street times 10
Banana: so where do i begin.... We were in a dive in Mykonos stuck in the middle of butt fuck no where with worm things with tenticals crawling up from our shower drain and me trying to fish the fucker up ( shan sitting on her bed screaming (get it out) LOL!!!! Ya we both were in tears at that point lol. We pretty much were hermits here because of the wind storms we couldn't even play damn cards on our patio! But I adopted two Kittens ( named them Fred and Bob) lol try to sneak in our room and we feed them.... Oh Did i forget to mention that Mykonos must be the gay Capital of Greece, I mean good looking guys but none of them are straight except for the creepy Italians who like to get a little to close and personal( shan was malled by one lol) Davie street times 10 REALLY!!! One of the main reasons we were hermits is because their road is basically a one way road with buses and bikes and you name it all trying to go down one side of the road no joke :s not impressed! One prime example of this shitty roads and the way their transit works ended up dropping shan and I off in the middle of no where in the dark no street lights so ya we had a little freak out! we almost cried but we turned the situation around found us a little bar on the beach had a glass of wine and got one of the only 32 taxis on the island!!!! LOL
So after that dreadful experience we pretty much stayed around our shit hole watching 90s Baywatch reruns and the nanny lol( does anyone remember MR. Shefield) no joke we were thankful to have english tv lol..... So we just stayed by our beach was a 5min walk to rented some chairs and did alot of topless tanning( which we are enjoying lol) oh and alot of ppl watching making fun of bungee smugglers(aka speedos lol)
So now we are safe and sound in athens until corfu on Friday where we take a 9 hour bus ride on top of a 2 hour ferry ride to PINK PALACE trouble lol bahahhahah

Madness

WHERE to start! soo much has happened in the last 4 days! havent been around a computer or to lazyy, so sorry for the delay!
Ill start with our last day in santorini! we had our first chill day! got up early and did laundry! in the sink/shower! that was an experience , although me n han work well together so it worked out! then it was pool time! Hana did her first hair cut in europe! and we met our pool boy for the day! (and his wife!) Our cabana boy went out and bought us some coolers and we all layed by the pool for a few hours and chatted! Mark and stephanie were from nova scotia and 2 of the nicest people we've met so far. It was their one year anniversary/honeymoon that day! Really awesome afternoon! congrats guys ( told u u'd make it in our blog!)
Next was off to Mr.Trontos hotel for a wine,cheese and fruit dinner! So good! we then went to wonder the beach and stumbled upon 2 greek men playing gutiar. aucostic. nirvana. it was sooo good! so we sat down and watched them for 2 hours.probably one of our favorite nights so far! when they played coldplay i think han n i were in heaven! Minus the eye fucking from the musicans! lol greek men
next day was travelling day! we left for ios and were picked up by the boys at francescos, ben and tony! they checked us in and we hit the pool of course and then seista time! Everyone then meets at the bar at francescos at 1030 for welcome shots and pre drinks and some magic tricks! haha thennn hana went to bed on me! ( she wasnt feeling well :( ) so i went out with mr.tornoto and some really nice people i met at the hostel. Needless to say i enjoyed myself (ALOT) great music, about 10 different clubs, and alot of shots!! and i mayy have gotten home at 10am! lol
we slept until 1 pm ate breakfast ( these are normal times for people in ios!) then we went of to mr.trontos hotel (or should i say resort!) it was GORGEOUS! had a huge poool and beds you can lay on to tan! we hung out there and the beach all day! then had a REAL SHOWER! and may i just add that all u people at home reading this that have showers with curtains and a nossell u dont have to hold up while u shower...u better not take that shit for granted!! hahaha
thenn we decided we wanted pizza for dinner. well now that pizza is known as "the unmentionable pizza" it was the WORST thing we've ever eaten, yes worse than fish heads and the poO! it had minimal sauce, no cheese, ONE pinapple right in the middle and clumps of ham in about 4 different spots! omg it was awful! and thats the last time i ever talk about it!!
that night han was feeling better so we all pre drank at francescos again and played some interesting aussie drinking games! haha wish i could explaiN! then headed out to the clubs at 1245! they are all walking dinstance maybe 5mins so we just went to tons of bars again and did tons of shots again! This was an earlier night! well 8am is techincally earlier! haha me and hana both had a blast! gateway to aussie,(becks) and sophia its done! ( ios is such a meat market!) ;)
the nextt day was chill (considering!) when we woke up han was feeling rough so i made here eat the rock bread hahaha (great pics of that one!) we went to the beach for a few hours, packed ate in and read! were in bed by 11pm and up at 9am to travel again todday! ate breakfast at the port (big mistake,who knew pancakes were suppose to be fried and mushy in the middle!? not me) cant wait for italy and real food! haha we;re not having a lot of luck here so far!
we got to mykonos around 330 today, ferry was a little late! took about 45mins to get to our hotel..they have no taxis in mykonos! we're at a hotel now by the beach, its ok...again with the damn shower though! anyways tonights another early night. we.re tired and recouperating a bit here in mykonos before the big parties in corfu!
well we're off to grocery shop now so we can save some moneY! we are loving our travels so far and cant wait to find a way to show you all some pictures! miss u all xoxo
